Follow Application Process To apply For Grant

  • Attend a Grant Application Workshop in March:

    There will be 2 sessions on Thursday, March 1st
    Times:
    - Session #1 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
    - Session #2 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    Location: NMC Boardman Lake Campus University Center Room 7

    In the session participants will be introduced to Impact 100 Traverse City, learn about our five focus areas, find out about eligibility requirements and be trained in the use of our electronic application. We are asking that organizations limit participation to one attendee.
    If you plan to attend, please respond to grants@impacttc.org with the following:
    - Session preference (we’ll do our best until full)
    - Name
    - Non-profit organization
    - E-mail address
    - Phone number

  • Submit a Grant Proposal
Step 3

Applications are reviewed:

  • Focus group committees, composed of volunteer members of Impact 100, read the applications, debate the merits of each, perform site visits and narrow their choices.
  • Finalist(s) are selected from each focus area by the focus group members who then write an Executive Summary of the proposal(s). This summary is mailed to the entire membership of Impact 100 prior to the annual meeting.
  • Representatives from each of the finalist organizations make a short presentation at the annual meeting.
  • Each Impact 100 member votes at the annual meeting, or by proxy or absentee ballot, to determine the grant recipients.

Grants are Awarded at the Annual Member Celebration - October 2018!

2018 Grant Amount Revealed – at the Big Reveal event at the City Opera House
April 30th

Grant applications due by 11:59 pm EST

June/July

Grant Applications Reviewed

August

Impact TC Grant Committee will coordinate and complete site visits

September 12th

Finalists Selected – Meet the Finalists event at the Traverse City Golf and Country Club. 

Early October

Notify organizations
Executive Summaries Prepared

October 25th

Annual Awards Ceremony
Finalists present; members vote

November

Grant Award contract agreement sent to grantee; signed and returned to Impact 100
